Queensland Mining Awards 2022 – Entries Open !

17 January 2022 | Queensland Mining Awards

ACHIEVEMENTS AND ADVANCES: CALLING THE BEST OF THE QUEENSLAND MINING INDUSTRY

Submissions are now open for the 2022 Queensland Mining Awards. The Awards, now in their 8 th year, celebrate outstanding projects, initiatives, operators and suppliers in the state’s resources
industry.

Hosted by the Bowen Basin Mining Club in partnership with the Queensland Resources Council, the Awards welcome entries in categories addressing safety, environment, productivity and engagement.

QRC Chief Executive Ian Macfarlane today called for industry to enter and tell the story of our sector, right from producers down to small businesses.

“It’s important to recognise the great work we do here in Queensland, at the leading edge of technology, safety and thinking differently. Using only 0.1% of Queensland’s land mass, our industry certainly pulls its weight and more – so we’re proud to support the Awards to uncover the leaders and thinkers of the Queensland mining industry.”

The Awards culminate in a Gala Presentation Dinner on Wednesday 20th July, held during the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME) in Mackay.

Bowen Basin Mining Club Director Jodie Currie says the Awards are perfectly timed for businesses who are looking to stand out at QME.

“With over 500 industry peers gathered for the Gala Dinner, businesses who can differentiate themselves and put together an outstanding entry will have a clear competitive advantage. Don’t leave it to the last minute – start now and prepare a submission that will earn you serious recognition!”

The online submission process returns in 2022, with questions available for those wanting to get a head start on their entry. Key partners are also back for this year, with QME, Mackay Regional Council, Anglo American, BHP and CEA all joining as major sponsors of the event.

The judging panel for the Awards will be announced mid-February, featuring industry leaders, movers and shakers. Find out more or start your entry at www.qldminingawards.com.
