THE BBMC CONNECTS YOU TO THE MINING SECTOR
Our aim is to open the communication pipeline right across the resource sector.
Building relationships with key procurement executives, CEO’s and industry influencers is vital, but making it happen can be difficult. The BBMC is designed to promote healthy business relationships and foster growth.
Membership of the BBMC gives you a regular seat at the table. We’ve seen significant new leads developed and game-changing meetings of minds with innovative business development. It’s completely free to join – members only pay to attend each luncheon.
We have a ‘no-media’ policy at luncheons that fosters a relaxed and convivial atmosphere among peers.
The BBMC also actively champions and advocates for the Bowen Basin mining industry at sector events in metropolitan areas. We hold ancillary events to directly connect mining companies with stakeholders, we publish an industry Yearbook and we are proud to host the bi-annual Queensland Mining Awards.

Since its inception, the BBMC consistently presents speakers who are current thought leaders and industry influencers. Queensland Mining Awards
Over a decade on from our inaugural awards competition in 2014, the Queensland Mining Awards has become a premier event of the Queensland Mining Expo, held every two years in Mackay.
The BBMC owns and administers the Queensland Mining Awards program, and hosts the gala dinner where Queensland’s most innovative and forward-thinking sector achievements are celebrated and rewarded.
BBMC Yearbook
The BBMC’s Yearbook is a prestigious summation of the year’s activity in the resources sector and also features thought leadership commentary from peak bodies, government leaders and industry major players. Limited advertising packages can ensure your company is represented in the yearbook’s national reach into industry boardrooms, offices, reception areas, hotels and mine sites.
BBMC Crib Room Podcast
We created the BBMC Crib Room Podcast during 2020, as a way to keep our community connected with industry changes. The format is here to stay, as we bring you insights from across the Bowen Basin. You’ll hear from mining leaders, future thinkers and contractors who are pushing the boundaries of innovation. HUNTER MINING CLUB
The Hunter Mining Club, launched in May 2025, extends our networking and advocacy model into NSW’s vital mining regions. Director Jodie Currie applies over 15 years of relationship-building expertise to create the same trusted environment that has made the BBMC successful, bringing together businesses and key resources executives for candid, genuine dialogue that drives tangible business outcomes across the eastern seaboard.
